Captures the rush for the line at the start of a race very well. Up to this point boats have been sailing along the line, some in one direction, some in the other, with many a close collision, many a cry of ‘foreward’, claiming precedent, forcing the other boat to sail downwind. The first leg of a race is always beating upwind.
